Before Wimbledon Jerzy participated in two matches on grass. The first one took place in Halle (Gerry Weber Open), where Jurek lost to M. Basic 6(5):7, 6:3, 6(5):7. The second match was a part of an exhibition tournament – The Boodles – which took place nearby London. Jerzy encountered Grigor Dimitrov and the result of the match was 6:1, 7:6(5) for Bulgarian.
