In the beginning of May Jurek took part in the ATP 1000 tournament in Madrid. In the first round he competed with Sam Querrey (ATP 18) and won the match without losing a set – 6:3, 6:4.
In the next round Tomas Berdych was Jerzy’s opponent (ATP 6). After the fierce battle Jerzy lost 7(3):6, 3:6, 2:6.
