Jurek successfully opened this year's Australian Open Grand Slam tournament beating Bolelliego Simone (Italy) in the first round  7/5 6/4 6/3.

In the second round Jurek will play against Somdev Devvarman from India. Jurek will also participate in the doubles tournament, partnered by Tomasz Bednarek
